Construction Field Supervisor - Williams Lake, BC
Lake Excavating Ltd.
is looking for Experienced Construction Field Supervisors to join our growing team and work on various projects in the Williams Lake, BC area. If you have experience in civil pipe installation, shallow and deep underground install, earthworks, mining, or road construction, we want to hear from you!
Lake Excavating Ltd. is one of Western Canada’s largest and most respected earthworks and civil infrastructure contractors with over 60 years of experience in earthworks, road construction, underground and surface works, delivering projects of all sizes for clients in a variety of industries.

Requirements:
-
MUST reside currently in Canada and be eligible to work in Canada.

Potential candidates living in the Williams Lake area will be considered an asset.
-
MUST pass mandatory Pre-access Lab-based Drug Screening (including THC) and complete a Respiratory Half Mask Fit Testing.
-
Boots on the ground approach focused on driving safe production and delivering results set by management.
-
Planning and scheduling equipment and crew to deliver targets and goals.
-
Ability to interpret construction drawings and plans.
-
Experience with field surveying, understanding QC results and GPS usage.
-
Experience operating heavy duty equipment and working in a civil or mining environment.
-
Leading with a sense of urgency - respecting time, deadlines and safety always on your mind.
-
Well-organized, detailed, an excellent communicator and working well under pressure.
-
Leading, delegating, motivating, and managing workers across several work fronts
-
Mining and civil construction knowledge, leadership foresight, quick decision making and directing work of others with a goal-oriented approach
-
Class 5 Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and ability to provide a clean drivers abstract.

Completion of Tailgate/Toolbox meetings and FLHA’s before start of work and reassess with changes to personnel, equipment, tasks, weather, etc.

Willingness to step out of the cab and perform labour tasks if and when required
-
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions and managing up to 50lbs
-
Stable work record with preferred experience in an industrial, civil, or mining environment
-
Ability to work both DAY and NIGHT Shifts if required with shifts longer than 8 hours and weekends.

Ability to interact positively with co-workers, fellow supervisors and managers.
-
Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
-
Strict attention and compliance to safety, equipment and vehicle cleanliness, maintenance and completing logs.
