Join our team today and build an aviation career you’re proud of! StandardAero is offering an exciting summer internship at our Slemon Park, PEI facility. This role is designed for highly motivated Engineering or Business students specializing in Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related Data Science field . You’ll get the chance to apply your technical skills in a dynamic business environment, working on critical projects that support the company's operations.
Anticipated Start Date: May 2026 What You’ll Do As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in special projects that focus on business analytics, vendor management, and work distribution. Your responsibilities will include:
- Business Analytics & Data Reporting: You will assist in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights for various departments. Your work will directly influence decision-making and process improvements.
- Building Business Cases: Work with senior engineers and managers to help develop business cases for strategic projects. This could involve assessing market opportunities, cost-benefit analysis, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Vendor Management: You’ll assist in the evaluation and tracking of vendor performance through performance data, track key metrics, and identify trends. Your insights will help us make decisions about vendor efficiency and contract performance contributing to overall supply chain efficiency.
- Work Distribution & Process Improvement: Work closely with project managers and engineers to allocate resources effectively across ongoing projects. You’ll help optimize workflows and propose improvements to increase productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Technical Application: You’ll be expected to utilize your knowledge of engineering programs, SQL, database management, and programming to help streamline operations and support project goals. Advanced proficiency in Excel will be crucial as you work on data-driven reports and project documentation.
What Skills You'll Need (required Experience/availability)
- Currently enrolled at least as a 2nd year student in a Business or Engineering bachelor’s or diploma program (Business Analysis, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field in Data Science/Analysis).
- Knowledge in SQL databases, programming, and database management.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Excellent analytical skills and a passion for working with data to solve real-world problems.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be currently attending university and eligible to work full-time during the summer term.
- Must be able to work onsite at our Slemon Park, PEI facility.
