About the role

Manning Park Resort is a year-round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. We are presently searching for our next great team member as a General Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
-
Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting/plastering repairs as necessary (i.e. repair faucets, unclog toilets, change bulbs, repair switches, test outlets etc)

Assist with resort maintenance projects, completing full scope of requirements
-
Implement preventative maintenance measures
-
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
-
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol
-
Keep job sites and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
-
Willingness to learn generator operations and switch over
-
Snow removal and grounds maintenance of resort areas
-
Perform other maintenance duties as requested
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
-
General maintenance knowledge
-
Regular On Call Shifts are required
-
Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent is required
-
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
-
Ability to work well in a team & independently
-
Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs without assistance
-
Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable & organized
-
Good knowledge of current WorkSafe BC regulations
-
Possess own basic hand tools is an asset
-
General knowledge of operating a skid-steer / snow removal equipment is an asset
This is a year-round position with a minimum commitment of 6 months and a start date in April.
