What does the Operations Manager role include?
The Operations Manager leads Landmark’s operational and project performance, ensuring that complex workloads are coordinated effectively and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires balancing day-to-day oversight with long-term strategic planning, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration, managing resources, and mitigating risk.
Key responsibilities include :
- Provide central oversight for all active projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
- Manage contractual, HR, and administrative processes, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.
- Monitor resourcing, workload, and project performance, and identify solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Coach and mentor managers and project teams to strengthen leadership, accountability, and technical excellence.
- Promote cross-disciplinary collaboration, resolve conflicts, and ensure consistent project management practices.
- Recommend operational improvements, implement compliance standards, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Our ideal Operations Manager brings:
- 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience in consulting, engineering, or professional services.
- Solid background in human resources, including policy, compliance, and team development.
- Proven expertise in contracts or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large, complex projects.
- Sector expertise in environmental sciences, regulatory affairs, Indigenous relations, geomatics, or related fields.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing project budgets and P&L.
- Expertise in risk management, performance monitoring, and resource planning.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence, motivate, and guide teams without direct authority.
