Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Vancouver office. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, hardworking individual who would like to work in our Accounting Department. The regular working hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm.
Standard Responsibilities

Record and apply client payments (cheques, wire transfers, credit cards, EFTs)

Communicate with clients, lawyers, and staff regarding billing inquiries and payment status

Collaborate with billing, operations, and legal teams to resolve discrepancies

Assist with e-billing submissions and troubleshooting as needed

Respond to legal assistants’ billing questions and inquiries promptly and professionally

Post and reconcile disbursement charges and office credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and proper allocation

Assist with month-end and year-end closings and billing processes
-
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed
Qualifications
-
Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional environment is an asset
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
-
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
-
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-
Pro-active and service-oriented approach is a must
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The typical salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including:
