About the role
Job Description
Do you have experience in senior living communities (RPA) and inspiring, motivating leadership? Are you eager to actively contribute to the well-being of residents and teams? This 12-month assignment is for you!
Our client, known for its compassionate approach and high-quality services, is seeking a General Manager to oversee the interim leadership of a senior residence located on Montreal’s South Shore. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, working closely with a dedicated management team, while ensuring excellent service delivery and fostering a positive work environment.
This temporary but strategic role is within an organization that values stability, active listening, and collaboration. You will confidently take the reins, maintain a healthy workplace, and bring your own vision to the role.
Tasks
- Manage all operations (HR, finance, equipment) according to the organization’s strategic directions.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Lead and support teams across shifts, fostering a healthy and collaborative work environment.
- Supervise managers and ensure rigorous daily activity follow-up.
- Organize twice-weekly morning meetings with night teams to ensure smooth coordination.
- Maintain excellence in services and care provided to residents, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.
- Ensure legal compliance, including RPA certification and current regulations.
- Plan and monitor the budget in collaboration with the administrative center.
- Represent the residence with external partners and within the community.
- Facilitate clear communication between teams, residents, families, and head office.
- Monitor the market to recommend strategic actions based on competition.
- Uphold and promote the organization’s culture and values daily.
- Perform any other related duty.

Job requirements
- University degree in management, administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of management experience, including leadership or coordination roles within senior living residences (RPA).
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Availability to respond to emergency calls 24/7 as needed.
- Willingness to attend biweekly 6 a.m. meetings with night teams.
- Knowledge of Zoho CRM and Emprez payroll software is an asset.
