Preventative Maintenance Technician - Co-op
About the role
As we continue to respond to increased customer demands and requirements, we are hiring a Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1 - Co-op at our North Bay location. Our busy, team-oriented shops place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available, as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. Our service technicians are critical to the success of our customer relationships.
Job Type: Part-time or full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Majority of duties will be cleaning, washing and inspection of our rental construction equipment;
- Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment;
- Ensuring all equipment is in clean working condition with all appropriate components;
- Testing of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages;
- Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, maintaining and servicing rental equipment, oil and filter changes;
- Complete required documentation and data entry;
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch;
- Load and unload customer rental equipment when required;
- Maintain a safe working environment;
- Assisting other technicians as needed;
- Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining a safe work environment;
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction equipment and mechanics;
- Ability to use various computer devices (Scanners, laptops etc.)
- Technical aptitude and organization skills are preferred.
