Available Cohorts:
First Cohort Post-Secondary Students
- Employment Term: April 27, 2026 August 28, 2026
- Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (college, university, or technical institute)
- Ideal for: Students seeking meaningful work experience in areas such as administration, facilities, IT support, student services, communications, or other university operations
Second Cohort High School Students
- Employment Term: July 6, 2026 August 28, 2026
- Eligibility: High school students who are legally eligible to work
- Ideal for: Students interested in gaining their first work experience and developing foundational workplace skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tasks and projects within your assigned department
- Collaborate with team members to support ongoing initiatives
- Participate in training opportunities
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
Specific duties will vary depending on departmental assignment.
Qualifications:
- 16+ years old and residing within Athabasca County
- Responsible and dependable
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for learning
- Able to commute to the University Campus
- Ability to meet the physical requirement of the position, where applicable
