Frank Spragins is an Outreach high school, we offer both on-campus and off-campus programming. This role will provide academic support and guidance for those students. The LAC is to navigate IPPs, Coded students, and academic support for all students on campus and off campus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with outreach education.
- An ability to tailor an individualized curriculum along an outcomes-based*/*outcomes-developed continuum.
- An ability to develop, implement, and monitor IPPs for students with mild-moderate developmental disabilities that provide sequential learning and opportunities to integrate with same-age peers in different grades.
- Other goals for students include increasing independence, enhancing self-esteem and improving social*/*interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational skills and classroom management - Supervision and planning for Educational Assistants.
- An ability and commitment to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment.
- An ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents.
- A commitment to the Assessment for Learning model.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset.
