About the role

Reports to: District Manager
Description The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 1:30am - 9:30am
Oversees sort operations and a unionized team, ensuring performance standards are met. Builds a positive work environment, drives operational objectives, manages employee performance through coaching and recognition, and implements policies, procedures, and programs while maintaining required reports and documentation.
- Manage and supervise daily sort operations
- Lead and support a team of unionized employees
- Foster a positive work environment that builds loyalty and teamwork
- Achieve operational objectives as outlined in the scorecard
- Monitor and manage employee performance against established standards
- Enhance operations through performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition
- Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs
- Prepare and maintain reports, documentation, and related records
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
-
2–3 years of experience managing or supervising employees
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate knowledge of Excel
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Experience supervising union employees (asset)

Logistics experience (asset)

Strong leadership and motivational skills; energetic leader

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Skilled at coordinating diverse duties and meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments
