Unit Summary

Position Summary
Under the direction of the VP Corporate Services and Capital Development, the Director Redevelopment Projects will provide leadership and be responsible for the hospital’s pursuit of major, long-term infrastructure renewal across its sites and lead the successful delivery of large scale redevelopment projects.
The Director, Redevelopment Projects must have relevant healthcare capital project experience working with key internal and external stakeholders to advance the plan through the Ministry of Health (MOH) & Long-Term Care’s Capital planning and Infrastructure Ontario’s (IO) Public Private Partnership (P3) model.
Schedule Work Hours
37.5 per week
Qualifications
- Degree in architecture, planning, engineering or project management
- Drive and accountability
- Excellent people skills and strong team orientation
- Ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholders
- The ability to manage employee performance and development
- A service commitment to patients, their families and internal HHS partners
- The ability to meet financial goals while meeting scope and schedule requirements
- Evidence of commitment to continuous education
- Effective presentation and writing skills
- Knowledge of wayfinding systems, infection prevention and control issues, scheduling/shiftwork challenges to construction, project budget development and monitoring.
- Familiarity with contracts and contract management.
- Knowledge of the different roles of internal & external team members on a Redevelopment project
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code regulations.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Ontario and MOHLTC Capital planning and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of master planning and programming, functional programming
- Proficient in MS Office
Proficiency in both Official Languages would be an asset.
