About the role
Internal Candidates - please apply by logging in to UKG. External Candidates - please apply with the Apply Now button. This is a 12 month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension. Key Position Functions Include
- Provide general human resource services focusing on recruitment, orientation and onboarding.
- Lead recruitment and selection activity for entry level positions, including advertising, screening, interviewing, checking references and offers of employment.
- Utilize the applicant tracking system to regularly monitor and update the status of advertised positions.
- Coordinate and conduct pre-screens, in-person, and virtual interviews.
- Utilize job boards, sourcing tools and human resources techniques to attract and identify candidates.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify human resources talent needs.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines.
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding activities, and further develop program to best assimilate new employees.
- Assist with employee inquiries.
- Support the payroll department with project work as required.
- Perform other related projects/duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:
- Two years’ experience in an HR Coordinator or HR Recruiter role preferred.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good understanding of recruitment strategies and familiarity with sourcing through industry-leading sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of all full life-cycle recruiting components, including sourcing, qualifying, networking and assessing candidate skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Motivated and efficient self-starter with positive “can do” attitude.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven track record in applying effective recruitment practices.
- HRIS experience would be as asset (UKG preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of MS applications. Visio would be an asset.
