Description What you’ll be doing
Parkview Services for Seniors is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who would like to contribute their skills, experience, and passion to our Board of Directors for the 2026–2029 term.
As a nonprofit, Parkview is dedicated to serving seniors with compassion, excellence, and community-mindedness. Through our long-term care home, independent living community, and community programs, we enhance the lives of older adults in Stouffville and the wider York Region.
Our Board of Directors provides leadership and governance to ensure that Parkview continues to fulfill its mission and operate with integrity, accountability, and vision.
Who We’re Looking For We are seeking individuals who share our commitment to seniors and bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Accounting (preferably CPA designation)
- Legal
- Strategic Planning, Project Management, or Project Development
Ideal Candidates Will Also Demonstrate:
- Alignment with Parkview’s mission and values
- Understanding of nonprofit governance and fiduciary responsibility
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A connection to the local community and an interest in seniors’ issues
- Willingness to dedicate approximately 5–10 hours per month to board and committee work
