Do you see yourself excited to contribute to…

·       Testing future ERP system releases in a sandbox environment and supporting implementation.

·       Performing technical tasks such as data migrations, data analysis, configuration, and administration.

·       Supporting the maintenance of production and sandbox ERP systems, including verifying backups and assisting with updates and patches related to supporting platforms (e.g., databases and servers).

·       Creating, updating, and maintaining T-SQL scripts to support reporting needs and enhance ERP functionality.

·       Acting as a point of contact for users and with ERP support to report and resolve issues.

·       Supporting Urban Systems staff in the effective use of ERP systems through day-to-day assistance, troubleshooting, and guidance.

·       Facilitating training sessions and creating reference materials to help users build confidence and capability with ERP and related systems.

·       Collaborating with stakeholders across the company on new ways to leverage the use of ERP and/or the data it contains.

·       Supporting a diverse user group with varying technical needs and levels of experience.

·       Traveling across Western Canada as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate brings experience with software configuration, data loading, and system testing, and enjoys working collaboratively with a team of IT professionals to maintain and enhance existing systems. The core skills that will help you succeed here include:

·       Related education in Computer Science or a Technology program, and/or 5+ years of experience with web-based application design or development

·       Working knowledge of basic computer hardware, software, and network infrastructure

·       A strong sense of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and skill development

·       Experience scripting in T-SQL and PowerShell; familiarity with other scripting languages is considered an asset

The following skills, traits, and interests will support your success in this role:

·       Experience with ERP software (e.g., Deltek VantagePoint, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP) is considered an asset

·       A strong customer service mindset and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

·       Experience supporting end users (in person, by phone, chat, or email)

·       Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal

·       The ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing, time-sensitive demands

·       Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation

·       Project coordination or project management experience is considered an asset
