About the role
TheAggregates Sales Representativefor our Brechin Quarry is responsible for prospecting, quote preparation, customer visits, profitability reviews, accurate reporting and attending association events. They will manage existing customer base, grow customer portfolio through prospecting and leveraging existing relationships. Regular customer visits across the market area are the norm.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote sales to existing clients

Identify and solicit potential clients
-
Provide and maintain an updated monthly sales forecast
-
Provide clients with relevant product information and appropriate uses
-
Estimate and quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery rates
-
Prepare and oversee preparation of sales contracts
-
Consult with clients after sale and signed contracts to resolve issues and to provide ongoing support
-
Review and adapt information regarding product specifications, competitors and market realities
-
Accounting: Follows, tracks, oversees customer accounts including interaction with AR
-
Ensuring quality products are being delivered on time to customers
-
Responsible for setting up contracts in SAP
-
Back up scale attendant short term when required
-
Professional/motivated/self-starter who takes pride in being successful
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-
MS Office skills and experience with CRM (ideally Salesforce.com)
-
A university degree or college diploma in a related field considered an asset
-
5+ years experience in sales or in an occupation related to the industry
-
Background in Aggregates is desirable, however willing to consider applicants with sales experience in related fields
-
Quality Control experience would be considered an asset
-
Negotiation and problem-solving skills
-
Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
-
Knowledge of the Aggregate trucking industry would be considered an asset
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Varies from office environment to customer offices and construction sites.
- Work will require occasional weekend and/or evenings.
