Job Overview
The Sr. Accounting Analyst will be primarily responsible for various areas of expense accounting and will report to the Controller, Nuvei NA. This position will play a key role in ensuring a timely and accurate month-end close, supporting year-end external audit, and working with various business leaders and teams across the company. The position requires the desire to take ownership of your work, self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and collaborate with other team members. While this position is primarily remote, preference will be given to candidates located in the great Montreal region for in-office events, training, etc.
Main Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for various areas of accounting including bank reconciliation, prepaid, fixed assets, intercompany, revenue, commissions and multiple Operating expenses.

Identify and record accruals related to operating expenses, ensuring expenses are recorded to the proper period.

Prepare tax schedules and information for the tax team

Calculate and allocate shared costs across departments and business units
-
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of balances and sufficient supporting documentation.

Ensure journal entries and schedules are prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards with a focus on accuracy and completeness

Interact with the different business units and corporate departments to ensure entries are recorded accurately and timely.

Support external audit requests

Assist in other ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications (Skills/Experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
-
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including reconciliations and journal entries
-
Knowledgeable in IFRS
-
Xero experience is an asset
-
Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency in V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and formula-driven workbooks.

Candidate should possess strong communication and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to the success of the business outside of the Finance & Accounting discipline

Demonstrated ability in problem solving and process improvement;
-
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast paced environment. Detail orientated with strong organizational and time management skills.
