Position Overview
Calian Cyber Solutions is seeking a NOC Operations Manager to lead the Network Operations Center (NOC) and IT Service Line. This role is focused on delivering and expanding Managed Services (MSP) across client infrastructures hosted in Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of technical engineers supporting client infrastructure.
- Oversee incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for network issues.
- Manage documentation of systems and generate performance and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve third-party issues.
- Conduct capacity planning and optimize resource allocation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive support and tailored IT solutions.
- Ensure SLA adherence for Azure and network-related tickets.
- Support client adoption of new technologies with minimal disruption.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a NOC Manager role within an MSP environment.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of networking, network security, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Exchange.
- Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and Azure NSGs.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture, network design, and system hardening.
- Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
- Availability during Canadian business hours, with on-call flexibility.
Additional Requirements
- Education in IT, Cybersecurity, or Network Operations is an asset.
- Certifications in Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco are preferred.
- Experience with FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with CAB processes.
- Proven ability to manage SLAs, resolve issues quickly, and lead in a high-paced environment.
