About the role
Tomlinson Environmental Services Ottawa is currently looking for a DZ, Comfort Station Driver to join our Comfort Station Operations team. This role is responsible for performing daily job requirements safely and efficiently. It also requires a candidate capable of safely operating a vehicle in challenging weather conditions and varying environments.

**Vacancy Type:**Replacement
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Successfully work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while maintaining composure and a positive outlook.
- Safety oriented with good housekeeping practices, controlling hazards, safety awareness and a good driving record.
- Operate a Comfort Station vehicle in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs of portable toilets and trailers.
- Pump sewage waste from holding tanks.
- Complete daily routes and assist in other areas as directed.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external Customers, Dispatch and Management.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of company vehicles and equipment, and report defects immediately.
- Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Exposure to waste materials.

Exposure to high traffic conditions while outside of the vehicle.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Previous driving and route experience is an asset.

Valid DZ license with a clean abstract.

The ability to load, unload, pick and move portable toilets that weight 125lbs plus.

Ability to read and understand a map or operate a GPS unit.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The expected salary range for this position is $25 - $27 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
