As a Supply Management Lead for Mining Oil Sands operation and Sustaining Capital Lead, your work and accomplishments will contribute to the overall success of our Mining, Bitumen production and upgrading operation. You will utilize your strong relationship building skills to maintain an excellent level of customer service and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your value and contribute to one of the premier oil and gas producers in the world.
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta - with frequent travel to operational Mining Oil Sands sites
- Shift schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities
- Lead people toward meeting Canadian Natural’s and Supply Management's vision, mission and goals
- Maintain and align team workloads, outputs and processes to ensure that team efforts contribute to and align with business objectives and practices
- Develop and execute supply management and contracting strategies to reduce total costs cycles
- Support the supply management contracting team (6 - 8 people) to execute agreement from requisition, contract execution and contract administration
- Support the team in liaising with legal, risk, finance, accounting, internal client business units, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
- Deal with performance reviews and performance management of your team and contribute with hiring aiming to create a high performing team
- Coach and mentor the development of the team
- Provide an inclusive workplace that fosters the development of others, facilitates cooperation and teamwork, and supports constructive resolution of conflicts
What You Bring To The Role
- 10 plus years of related industry experience with 8 plus years in contract management (Requisition, RFP, Bid Analysis, T&C’s negotiation, contract execution, contract administration)
- 5 plus years in a leadership role with post-secondary education
- Strong organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form
- Outstanding analytical skills to make effective decisions
- Drive and accountability to execute timely agreement
- Superior customer service with an ability to work cohesively with Operational Vice President and Managers to support client needs and concerns
- Legal knowledge, understanding of contract law, being able to discuss the agreements and their ramifications with legal professionals
