Aircraft Painter – Ontario, Canada
Role Summary We are seeking an Aircraft Painter to join a leading aviation maintenance and refurbishment organisation in Ontario. This role involves preparing, painting, and finishing aircraft surfaces to high-quality and safety standards within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities Strip, clean, sand, and prepare aircraft surfaces for painting Mask and protect aircraft components during paint operations Apply primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray techniques Perform touch-ups, corrective work, and sealant (PRC) removal/reapplication Prepare and treat composite, fibreglass, and metal surfaces Inspect paint finishes for defects and ensure quality standards Complete documentation and maintain accurate records Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Support team activities and additional assigned duties
Required Qualifications Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) Minimum 1 year of spray painting experience (industrial, automotive, or aircraft) Experience with sanding, masking, surface preparation, and priming Strong attention to detail and quality focus Ability to work independently and in a team Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied positions/heights Willingness to work with chemicals, dust, and confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications Aircraft painting experience Fibreglass sanding and composite surface knowledge Experience in regulated industries (aviation preferred) WHMIS and Human Factors training
