About the role
The Fox Golf Club is seeking an outgoing and hardworking individual to join our turf team as a Full-Time Seasonal Greenskeeper in Granton, Ontario.
Role Summary
Greenskeepers are the primary caretakers of the golf course, performing a wide variety of tasks ranging from manual maintenance and construction to the operation of light equipment. You will be responsible for general course maintenance while working outdoors in a beautiful natural environment with a dedicated team.
Position Details Department: Golf Course Maintenance
Reports To: Golf Course Superintendent
Classification: Full-Time Seasonal (April 20th – October 31st)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week. Shifts begin at 5:30 AM and include four weekdays and one weekend shift (5:30 AM – 10:00 AM).
Salary: $17.75 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor, including raking sand traps, digging, weeding, and changing pins.
- Operate equipment to mow tees, greens, fairways, and roughs.
- Work proficiently under the direction of supervisors to complete tasks within given timeframes.
- Maintain a safe work environment and properly care for all machinery, tools, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor and heavy lifting.
- Willingness to work in all weather and environmental conditions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable attendance for very early morning shifts.
- A positive attitude and the ability to perform a variety of tasks.
