Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Senior Consultant, Corporate Services is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the acute care system in Alberta. This highly visible role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Acute Care Alberta’s provincial corporate services model, driving greater integration, efficiency, and service excellence across the healthcare system.
You will develop innovative service delivery frameworks, governance models, service agreements, and performance measurement strategies that strengthen accountability and deliver measurable results. You will lead large-scale projects that require strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
From developing business cases and implementation plans to managing risks, interdependencies, and executive reporting, you will play a central role in turning strategic priorities into operational success.
This role offers the chance to collaborate with senior leaders, operational teams, Provincial Health Corporations, Health Shared Services, and external partners to build alignment and drive meaningful change. You will facilitate complex discussions, navigate competing priorities, and build consensus across multiple organizations to achieve shared goals and sustainable outcomes.

The Senior Consultant, Corporate Services provides strategic leadership to advance Acute Care Alberta’s shared corporate services model through effective planning, governance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
The role leads complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives that strengthen the integration, effectiveness, and sustainability of corporate services across the organization.
Responsible for overseeing service agreements, monitoring performance, managing risks, and supporting evidence-based decision-making, the Senior Consultant ensures services are aligned with organizational priorities and deliver measurable value.
The position develops governance frameworks, performance measures, and strategic recommendations to address emerging issues, service gaps, and system pressures.
The role also leads the planning and execution of high-profile projects and programs, including development of business cases, implementation plans, executive briefings, and progress reporting. Success requires strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Working closely with Provincial Health Agencies, Provincial Health Corporations, shared service providers, and internal leaders, the Senior Consultant builds partnerships, facilitates complex discussions, aligns diverse stakeholders, and drives coordinated action.
As a trusted advisor, the role helps reduce fragmentation, improve service integration, and enable high-performing corporate services that support healthcare delivery across Alberta.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline and plus a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Additional Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-phase initiatives involving diverse stakeholders, competing priorities, significant risks, and cross-functional dependencies. Proven expertise in planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating large-scale projects while building strong partnerships with internal teams and external organizations, including Provincial Health Agencies and Provincial Health Corporations. Strong understanding of shared services environments, including finance, HR, IT, procurement, risk, audit, and information/privacy. Skilled in developing governance frameworks, service agreements, accountability structures, and performance measures to drive service excellence. Adept at analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, identifying risks and service gaps, developing innovative solutions, preparing executive-level recommendations, and leading change initiatives. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining quality, stakeholder alignment, and strategic outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field, 10 years' experience, and 5+ years in corporate services, shared services, or complex organizational environments (public sector experience preferred). Demonstrated experience in contract/relationship management and cross-organizational coordination. Strong understanding of corporate service functions (e.g., IT, finance, HR, audit, procurement, privacy). Experience designing or managing shared services or enterprise service models.
