About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Natural Gas Engine Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of oilfield natural gas engines and generators used in hydraulic pumping units and related applications. This role is not suitable for entry-level or apprentice candidates. We will only be considering applicants with direct, hands-on experience working on oilfield natural gas engines in the region. Wages will be based on experience & qualifications, and may not follow the posted ranges.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on natural gas engines and generators Service and troubleshoot engines commonly used in oilfield applications, including but not limited to: 4.3L and 5.7L small block engines & engines used on hydraulic pumping units Identify mechanical, ignition, fuel, and control system issues Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and uptime Complete service documentation and maintenance reports Work safely and in compliance with company and site safety standards Travel to field locations as required
Required Experience & Qualifications
Proven, relevant experience maintaining oilfield natural gas engines (mandatory) Hands-on experience with 4.3L / 5.7L small block engines or similar natural gas engines Experience working on natural gas generator systems Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently in the field Valid Class 5 driver’s license Strong understanding of oilfield safety practices
