Position Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Commercial Director, the Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for driving new revenue sources as well as nurturing existing accounts. In partnership with the Director of Sales, the BDR will be responsible for developing a strategy to grow revenue for the Western Region. The responsibilities include developing and executing on a strategy to optimize account potential, initiating, developing, and closing sales.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and maintain a list of qualified prospects & leads

Contact potential clients through cold calls, customer meetings, emails etc.

Manage a new business pipeline and clearly communicate opportunities to management

Research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives and work closely with marketing to develop collateral to support sales efforts.

Negotiate and develop new contracts with key account segments

Transition projects seamlessly to Project Managers and/or members of the sales team (clean handoff)

Work with the inside sales team to develop, manage, and close proposals for prospective clients

Attend conferences, industry events, and other networking opportunities

Identify and respond to regional RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s etc. and collaborate with other internal departments to compile new business proposals

Contribute information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs, monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven ability to meet sales goals and targets
- Strong ability to cold call and hunt new business
- Previous success in prospecting business with a strong closing ability
- Well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills
- Highly organized and responsive with a customer centric mind set. Must be comfortable juggling tasks and clients, on- and off-site meetings, and deadlines.
- Office 365, basic CRM (Hubspot) knowledge
