##Job Summary:
##Position Summary
We are seeking aManager, Strategic Development, a key contributor responsible for leading analytical work, developing strategic insights, and supporting major cross‑organizational initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is not only analytically strong, but also naturally curious, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about exploring new ideas, markets, and ways to drive value.
The successful candidate will be a structured thinker who thrives in ambiguity, works collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, and produces clear, compelling insights for senior leadership.
##Key Responsibilities
###Strategic Planning & Analysis
- Lead and support enterprise-level strategic assessments, including market analysis, competitive research, and evaluations of emerging opportunities.
- Develop strategic options and recommendations backed by rigorous analysis.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of CSA’s multi‑year strategic plan.
###Business Partnering & Advisory
- Serve as a strategy partner to business unit leaders, helping translate broad strategic priorities into actionable initiatives.
- Provide structured problem-solving support for new opportunities, challenges, or executive questions.
- Facilitate strategic discussions, workshops, and leadership planning sessions.
###Project Leadership
- Manage end‑to‑end strategic projects, including scoping, work planning, analysis, stakeholder alignment, and final recommendations.
- Coordinate and guide cross‑functional working teams to drive progress on key initiatives.
- Prepare executive‑level presentations, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
###Financial & Strategic Insights
- Build and interpret financial models, scenarios, and business cases to support investment decisions and strategic trade‑offs.
- Provide insights on business performance and future strategic opportunities.
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative information into clear strategic narratives.
##Qualifications
###Required
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Finance).
- 4–6 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or a strategy‑oriented role.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and structured-thinking skills.
- High degree of curiosity, eagerness to learn, and openness to exploring new sectors, ideas, and approaches.
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing through insight.
- Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
- Candidates with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
###Preferred
- MBA or similar graduate degree is an asset.
- Experience in standards, certification, regulatory, or related industries.
- Background supporting enterprise transformation or growth initiatives.
The typical hiring range for this position (in Canada) is $98,490–$129,270 CADgross annually. The actual base pay offered will depend on factors such as education, licenses, certifications and experience. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
