Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining the platform supporting Akamai Control Center, our customer-facing portal. Our team provides support for deploying, monitoring, and assuring compliance for hundreds of customer-facing applications.

As a Software Engineer II, you will focus on building highly secure, reliable, and scalable solutions. Our platform empowers enterprises to create modern solutions to the world's problems.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating new features from scratch, enhancing existing features and optimizing existing functionality.
  • Working in all stages of software engineering, from concept and design through testing, documenting and deployment.
  • Contributing to projects that make our platform more reliable and more secure
  • Collaborating with our architecture, QA, security, and operational teams to create a world-class class service

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
  • Possess experience developing software in at least one programming language (i.e Java or Python)in a containerized environment
  • Demonstrate experience in Infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform (required), Terragrunt, and Ansible.
  • Demonstrate experience with creating infrastructure on scalable cloud platforms using infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Have familiarity with the full software development life cycle including code reviews, release management, and support
  • Demonstrate familiarity with working in a compliance-driven environment
  • Be able to utilize Git and collaborative tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins for development practices
  • Show experience in working in a Linux environment and with containers
