Role Description The 5 Ton Truck Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Calgary, AB. In this position, the driver is responsible for safely operating a 5 ton truck to deliver corrugated packaging products to customers and between company facilities. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, verifying delivery documents, ensuring products are handled carefully, and following assigned delivery routes and schedules. The driver will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report any mechanical issues, and comply with all traffic laws and company safety procedures. The role also involves communicating professionally with customers and colleagues, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle, and supporting warehouse operations as needed. Qualifications Valid Class 3 (or equivalent) driver’s license with a clean driving record and demonstrated experience operating 5 ton or comparable commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of safe driving practices, vehicle inspections, and basic truck maintenance; ability to follow delivery routes and schedules reliably. Experience with loading and unloading, using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment, and securing loads to prevent damage in transit. Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal team members. Physical ability to lift, move, and handle packaging products and boxes as required throughout the shift. Strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail in completing delivery logs, paperwork, and safety checklists. Familiarity with local and regional routes in and around Calgary and surrounding areas is an asset. Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; willingness to participate in ongoing safety and operational training.
