You as a Network Engineer you will:
- Manage Palo Alto NGFWs, ensuring proper segmentation, threat prevention, and secure traffic flow across internal and external interfaces.
- Maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure across multiple offices, data centers, and cloud-connected environments.
- Administer and optimize Cisco switches, routers, and NGFWs, ensuring efficient routing, VLAN segmentation, QoS, and network performance monitoring.
- Design, configure, and manage Azure virtual networks (vNets), subnets, and network security groups (NSGs).
- Implement and maintain Azure ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, and availability in Azure environments.
- Manage Azure Firewall, Route Tables, Application Gateways, and Load Balancers.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for cloud networking.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to support on-prem, and cloud initiatives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, procedures, change controls, and incident resolutions.
- Monitor and optimize network performance and troubleshoot latency or connectivity issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Participate in cloud migration and modernization projects, offering insights on networking and infrastructure optimization.
- Implement network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Is this role right for you?
- 4+ years of experience in network administration, with at least 1 year focused on Azure networking.
- Understanding of NGFWs (e.g., Cisco Firepower or Palo Alto Networks) and their advanced features such as application control, threat prevention, URL filtering, and deep packet inspection.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking technologies including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, IPsec and subnetting.
- Knowledge of Azure networking components: VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure DNS, and Private Link.
- Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity: Azure ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and Azure Virtual WAN.
- Proficiency in managing Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and Load Balancers.
- You have working knowledge of Azure VM management, storage, and identity access management.
- You understand hybrid infrastructure principles, including on-prem integration with Azure resources.
- You have experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, Solarwinds Orion or similar technologies.
- You have strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- You’re a collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, enterprise-scale environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and cloud-native security practices.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) or Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) are highly desirable.
- You have a bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
