Actively looking for Mobile Maintenance Reliability Specialist.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Location: Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia
Key Responsibilities
Asset Reliability & Maintenance
Develop and implement reliability strategies for mobile mining equipment. Improve equipment availability, performance, and lifecycle management. Lead equipment failure investigations and root cause analyses. Recommend and support corrective actions and reliability improvements. Contribute to equipment modification and rebuild strategies. Support the implementation of maintenance standards and best practices.
Planning & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with maintenance planners to optimize maintenance strategies. Analyze maintenance, breakdown, and equipment performance data. Monitor and report on key reliability metrics and KPIs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime. Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
Safety & Team Collaboration
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Identify and mitigate equipment-related risks. Participate in incident, equipment damage, and near-miss investigations. Provide technical guidance and reliability support to maintenance teams. Foster effective collaboration across maintenance, planning, and operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant industry experience. 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and/or reliability within mining or heavy industrial operations. Demonstrated experience with reliability improvement, failure analysis, and maintenance optimization. Strong knowledge of heavy mobile mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, drills, or similar equipment. Experience working closely with maintenance leadership, planners, supervisors, and trades personnel in a site-based environment.
Skills & Experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Data-driven approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement. Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
