The Role Overview

PTI is seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. This is an in-office, customer-facing role responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of manufacturing programs and ensuring exceptional client experiences from kickoff through delivery. The ideal candidate brings 2 to 4 years of hands-on project management experience in a manufacturing environment, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.

Position Details

Location: Hawthorne, NY — On-site 5 days per week

Employment Type: Full-Time

PTO: 2 weeks paid time off to start

Compensation Plan: Performance-based compensation plan - details provided during offer stage / 401K match.

Travel: 10 to 15% travel to customer sites as required

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end execution of customer-facing manufacturing projects from kickoff through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, building strong relationships and providing clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate cross-functional internal teams including engineering, operations, quality, and service to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget. Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status reviews, and customer site visits as required. Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies using PMOprovided tools and frameworks. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports using Monday.com and Microsoft Project. Lead stakeholder alignment efforts across internal and external partners, negotiating scope changes, schedule adjustments, and resource requirements as needed. Maintain accurate project documentation including meeting notes, action items, change orders, and delivery records. Adhere to and champion PTI PMO standards, processes, and governance frameworks across all assigned programs.

Required Qualifications

2 to 4 years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or capital equipment environment. Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing projects with direct client interaction and stakeholder management responsibilities. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to travel to customer sites 10 to 15% of the time. Willingness and ability to work on-site at PTI headquarters in Hawthorne, NY five days per week. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Ability and willingness to learn and consistently use PMO-provided project management tools and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Monday.com for project tracking, dashboard development, and team collaboration. Experience with Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource planning. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or inspection equipment industries.
