About the role
Location: North York (private duty, home setting) Schedule: 4pm-8pm or 5pm-9pm, 4 days a week. Must be available on the weekends Start date: As soon as possible

Scope and Responsibilities
- Ensure client safety is maintained at all times.
- Assist with ambulation, toileting, and transfers in and out of bed, chair, etc.
- Assist with other activities of daily living and light housekeeping.
- Operate and assist with mobility equipment including but not limited to walker, power wheelchair, etc.
- Assist client with feeding and monitor swallowing difficulties.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to the client.
- Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall well-being.
Minimum Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma from an accredited institution (and NACC certificate if applicable)
- Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- Has the ability to assist with mobility and transfers, including fall prevention
- Previous experience caring for clients with ALS preferred
- Must be comfortable to work in a home with a dog
