Ready to suit up as a Tactical Security Guard

As a Tactical Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, security facility centers, etc.

Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard

• Conduct regular bike patrols of the assigned property, including exterior grounds, pathways, and parking areas
• Provide a high-visibility security presence to deter theft, trespassing, and unwanted activity
• Respond quickly to incidents, alarms, and service calls across a large area using bike mobility
• Monitor for and report safety hazards, suspicious behavior, and maintenance issues
• Perform lock-up/unlock duties for buildings, gates, and restricted areas as required
• Engage with the public, staff, and visitors in a professional and approachable manner
• Enforce site rules and regulations while maintaining a customer-service-focused approach
• Provide first aid (OFA 2) when required and coordinate with emergency services if needed
• Maintain accurate reports including patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity logs using mobile devices
• Assist in managing crowd control and special events when required
• Ensure bike equipment is maintained, including checking tires, brakes, and safety gear before each shift
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members via radio or mobile devices

Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - OFA 2 - Required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand, walk and bike throughout shift
