We are currently recruiting for Manager, Digital Health to support our Strategic Initiatives team.
Position Overview
The Manager, Digital Health is a key leader in the delivery of digital health advisory services and projects with healthcare clients, ranging from innovative digital health initiatives to large-scale enterprise system projects (e.g., HIS, ERP). This role is responsible for the initiation, planning, coordination and delivery of complex digital health initiatives, including management of the project team and delivery of agreed to project objectives.
The Manager, Digital Health will report to the Director, Strategic Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the development and delivery of digital health strategies and solutions that align with the goals and priorities of healthcare organizations
- Provide strategic oversight of digital health projects, ensuring alignment with evolving industry trends, client needs, and internal requirements
- Work closely with Director, Strategic Initiatives and senior leadership at MMC to shape the direction and vision of the digital health advisory services, contributing to long-term strategic planning and business development
Project Oversight & Delivery:
- Oversee the end-to-end management of digital health projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to the needs of the client
- Establish project governance structures, including defining roles, responsibilities, and project milestones
- Manage resource allocation and balance project demands with team capacity, adjusting as needed to meet client objectives
- Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations
Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project team resources, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to team members, helping them grow in their roles and achieve professional development goals
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of team, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key healthcare clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through proactive communication and support
- Work closely with clients to understand their digital health goals, pain points, and requirements, ensuring projects are tailored to meet their specific needs
- Ensure that clients receive high-quality advisory services and that recommendations are effectively implemented to improve clinical and operational outcomes
Stakeholder Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, IT teams, clinical staff, and third-party vendors, to facilitate smooth project execution
- Ensure clear communication between all stakeholders, aligning on project goals, timelines, and outcomes, and addressing concerns as they arise
- Organize and lead stakeholder meetings, workshops, and steering committees to foster collaboration and maintain project momentum
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership
- Stay informed on emerging trends, regulations, and technologies in digital health, providing insights and recommendations to clients and internal teams
- Represent MMC in industry forums, conferences, and webinars, sharing knowledge and positioning the organization as a thought leader in digital health
- Identify opportunities to introduce innovative digital health solutions that address evolving healthcare challenges
Reporting & Risk Management
- Provide clients with data-driven insights and recommendations, highlighting opportunities for improvement in care delivery, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Prepare and present reports to clients, summarizing project progress, outcomes, and key performance metrics
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital health projects, including data security risks, technology adoption challenges, and regulatory concerns
- Work with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory challenges that arise during project execution
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes related to digital health project delivery, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project management practices
- Identify areas for innovation, driving the introduction of new tools, methodologies, and best practices within the Digital Health team and for client projects
- Lead change management efforts within healthcare organizations, ensuring smooth transitions to new digital health tools and processes
Administrative/Other Responsibilities:
- As appropriate, assist other strategic and project-focused teams to ensure success across MMC.
- At all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors and coworkers.
- Other duties as assigned, dependent on organizational needs and employee skills.
Qualifications and Skills
Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent,
- Master’s degree in a relevant field / MBA is considered an asset
- Experience in team leadership and development, with the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team
- Proven experience managing digital health/IT projects, with a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within scope
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, including EHRs, telehealth, data analytics, and digital health solutions
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work well independently and as team member. Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through to completion. Ability to lead a team toward MMCs goals, leveraging each team member's skill set.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and adjust to multiple demands.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required. An ability to compose, edit, fact check, review, and revise wide range of materials, including research, thought pieces, reports, concept papers, presentations, correspondence and basic reports is necessary.
- Critical thinking in assessing, compiling, and disseminating information is necessary.
- Computer proficiency, including strong word processing experience, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and various project management software. Willingness and ability to learn appropriate database, spreadsheet, and other computer programs.
- Skill in determining matters of importance and information of use in accomplishing any related tasks.
- Ability to give or deny or ask for information in a tactful and friendly manner and to be discreet in giving information to anyone is required.
- An intuitive ability to recognize and appropriately convey the sensitive nature of any situation and the ability to keep all matters appropriately confidential is necessary.
Travel
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
