Summer Student Groundskeeper
Locations:
Slave Lake (2 positions)
Slave Lake - Diamond Willow Campground and Learning Centre (1 position)
June 8, 2026 to August 28, 2026
Qualifications:
- Must be commencing or continuing secondary or post-secondary full-time studies in the Fall of 2026
- Must be available for full-time summer employment
- A clean vulnerable sector criminal record check prior to commencement
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license
Job Description
Title: Summer Student Groundskeeper
Department: Facilities and Ancillary Services
Nature and Scope of Work:
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Operations, this position is responsible for groundskeeping.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grass cutting with both push and ride lawn mowers
- Trimming trees, shrubs, and garden planting
- Cleaning debris from grounds
- Assisting staff members with other duties as required
Skills/Knowledge:
- Repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Good oral and written communication skills
