The Senior Manager - Finance Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic financial insights and support to business units, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial goals and objectives. This role is crucial in driving financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting decision-making processes. The Senior Manager - Finance Business Partner collaborates closely with other senior leaders to integrate financial strategies into business operations.
This is a hybrid position and will require the individual to work in the AMS office in Toronto Downtown 2-3 days a week.
What you will do:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
processes. - Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support business unit
strategies - Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to understand their financial needs and
challenges. - Provide strategic financial advice and support to drive business performance.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between finance and
business units.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Resource Allocation:
- Optimize resource allocation to support business unit goals and objectives.
- Monitor and manage financial risks and opportunities.
- Support investment decisions and capital allocation processes.
Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
- Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
- Ensure efficient and effective use of financial resources
You’ll need to demonstrate:

Demonstrated technical accounting expertise, supported by a CPA designation.

Achieve financial targets and support business units in meeting their financial
objectives. -
Provide accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting to support strategic
decisions. -
Ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Maintain compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and system.

Proven leadership experience, including team management, financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI for financial analysis and reporting.

Demonstrated experience working with finance systems and financial data platforms.

Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills to support decision-making.
