Position Summary
The Foreign Affair Winery is a boutique winery located in Vineland Station. We are currently seeking a charismatic individual to join our retail team on a full-time basis (including weekends). If you are a team player with a hospitality focused mindset and a passion for wine, you may be a great fit for our small team.
Reporting to the DTC & Hospitality Director, the Assistant Hospitality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing service operations, while assisting in leading the hospitality team to deliver exceptional customer service.
A typical day as Assistant Hospitality Supervisor includes:
Acting as the team lead to provide an exceptional guest experience by:
- Leading a daily team huddle, sharing updates and an overview of the day.
- Booking and coordinating guest reservations, responding to guest inquiries.
- Assigning hosts for tastings and preparing the lounge for reservations.
- Hosting tastings and providing memorable experiences for guests.
- Operating and resolving any technical issues with the point of sale.
- Encouraging the team to drive sales results and wine club membership sales.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of events.
- Assisting with the wine boutique merchandising.
- Supporting scheduling and payroll entry.
Applicant requirements include:
- Passionate and knowledgeable about wine, WSET an asset.
- Supervisory and leadership experience in hospitality, food & beverage, and retail.
- Tech savvy, previous experience with Shopify POS, and Tock reservation software.
- Smart Serve Certified.
- Typical working hours are 10-6 Tuesday - Sunday. Must be able to work weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
