Are you thinking about advancing your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Mississauga, Canada Site is looking for a new Quality Manager to join our Contract Logistics team.

How you create impact

As the Quality Assurance Manager you will assume overall responsibility for the ongoing development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the Contract Logistics business unit(s). You will oversee Branch and Business Unit Quality functions employing knowledge including but not limited to Heath Canada Regulations associated with functions (Distribution and/or Wholesaling) performed at the assigned Business Unit(s) (e.g. narcotics control, controlled drugs and substances, precursors, etc.) In addition as necessary you will support RPIC /ARPIC QPIC / AQPIC for narcotics, controlled & target substance and precursors. You will be responsible for the ongoing management, development, coaching and mentoring of on-site Quality Assurance staff including monitoring productivity.

  • Achieve QA operational objectives by monitoring and assigning day to day activities, identifying and addressing gaps/problems and providing regular feedback to the Director QA/RA and stakeholders regarding QMS performance or issues.
  • Serve as the site QA liaison to clients
  • Assist and support site Operations Management team as necessary in new client, new product, new process introduction with risk management and identification of required activities to ensure GxP compliance.
  • Oversee product complaint/inquiry requests, investigations and trending in accordance with client or KN requirements.
  • Oversee site QA record activities and facility and equipment maintenance activities for timeliness and adherence to GxP.
  • Support development and implementation of WI's and SOP's using advanced knowledge of GXP's and industry standards.
  • Ownership of Branch/Client specific SOP's and performs monthly review for expiration dates.
  • Responsible to hire, manage, develop, evaluate, coach, mentor, guide and direct all QA Specialists and Supervisor within the site, monitor work quality and productivity for maintenance of site QMS
  • Manage and monitor site changes through Change Controls
  • You will be a sitting member of the Change Control Review Board.
  • Monitor, identify, and investigate incidents from a quality perspective; support and/or complete deviation reports.
  • Manage the non-conformity and planned deviation process and oversee the execution of CAPA commitments.
  • Other duties as assigned relative to the assigned site and additional sites

What we would like you to bring

  • Bachelor in Sciences (e.g. Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or a related discipline) is required;
  • Canadian equivalency required if the degree was awarded outside Canada or the USDiploma/Degree/Certificate in Quality Assurance is preferred
  • 7+ years industry experience in Quality Assurance
  • 2+ years industry experience in Medical Device / Pharmaceutical distribution is preferred
  • 3+ experience leading and developing teams
  • Must meet Health Canada's requirements to perform RPIC and QPIC responsibilities
  • Proficiency in Quality Management systems and standards required (i.e. GMP, ISO 13485, 14001, 90001, 180001)
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
