About the role
On behalf of our client from Canada, Mobilunity is looking for a D365 Developer for a part-time engagement.
Our client is a global provider of IT connectivity solutions and accessories designed for IT professionals. Their product range covers everything from display and video adapters, including USB-C, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt, to docking stations and multiport laptop adapters. They also offer USB, Thunderbolt, and network hubs, along with audio-video converters, switchers, and extenders. In addition, their catalog includes a wide selection of cables (network, USB, HDMI, DisplayPort), as well as server management and rack solutions such as KVM switches and racks. To complement these, they supply mounts, ergonomic equipment, workstation accessories, and privacy filters, helping professionals build efficient and comfortable tech setups.
Reporting to the CRM Solutions Architect, the D365 Developer is responsible for enabling functional and system expertise to support implementation, improvements, integrations, and enhancements of mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems (Microsoft D365 CRM).
The D365 Developer works with the business to map and document existing and new cross functional business processes. This role also facilitates communication between functional and technical resources to provide understanding of business needs, recommend new system functionality, upgrades, system modifications, and triage day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, testing and resolution.
Responsibilities:
Business Requirement Elicitation (25%)
- Elicit and define business requirements as related to Enterprise Systems using pre defined tools
- Conduct reviews with and get approval from functional users of documented requirements to ensure cross functional understanding and alignment
- Ensure business value is clearly understood and documented
- Adapt requirements into functional requirements as provided by the business
- Help the technical leads to document, design and implement solutions for the integrations
Solution Implementation (50%)
- Collaborate with IT and Business staff to recommend and develop solutions for identified business requirements and needs
- Provide standard system options via configuration or functionality enablement to fulfil identified business requirements
- Work with third party system providers to provide standard system solution options when necessary
- Serve as a liaison between technical and functional staff to recommend, develop, and test changes or modifications to introduce newly delivered functionality
- Ensure that requirements documentation can be easily translated into UAT (user acceptance training)/functional test plans
- Coordinate and collaborate with technical and functional staff to find solutions to problems identified in testing, resolve issues during systems upgrades
- Assist functional users with the creation of training plans for their team
Ongoing Process and System Support (25%)
- Develop, document, and maintain complete understanding of all Enterprise Systems configurations for functional areas
- Update business processes and workflows in the systems as required
- Take ownership for the resolution of issues with implemented functionality in conjunction with the functional users
The role contributes to company results by supporting our ability to track customer interactions, identify target customers (the IT Professional), execute on marketing activities and provide greater transparency on end customer sales.
- The role requires curiosity and an eagerness to dissect and overcome complex, often multi-dimensional challenges
- The role is one step removed from revenue generation and focuses on customer attraction and retention
- Problems can generally be solved with known approaches or by direct consultation with IT team leadership or subject matter experts
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Development, implementation, and support experience with Microsoft D365 CRM
- Experience working with Customer Service and Power Platform
- Ability to configure D365 CRM (Customer Engagement, Marketing, Omni-channel, Sales)
- Experience using and JIRA
- Ability to quickly develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders and business professionals at all levels
- Strong analytical skills coupled with a questioning & creative approach to problem solving
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent organization, project, and time management skills
- Experience in data analysis and working with large volumes of data
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and effectiveness
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong business acumen
- Upper-intermediate, close to advance English
Nice to have:
- Microsoft Fundamentals Certification
- Experience in HubSpot integrations
Decision making:
- This role will provide input on how to implement enhancements, customizing and configuring CRM to deliver on business value. This role will test and confirm readiness to deploy code
- Personal time and workload management
- Supervision by CRM Solutions Architect
- Weekly 1 on 1 meetings to share progress on projects with Leader
- Document and execute on work in sprints
- Ad hoc issue escalation
