Welder - Journeyman or Experienced Apprentice (CWB/Structural)
About the role
Roska DBO Inc. is looking for a Journeyman or Experienced Apprentice Welder (CWB/Structural) to join our Maintenance team. This is a full-time, shop-based position supporting fabrication and structural repairs for process equipment.
This role is ideal for a motivated, safety-focused tradesperson who takes pride in quality work and can work effectively in a team environment.
Expected schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with flexibility to adjust hours as required to meet operational needs.
This position requires you to be local to the Grande Prairie area.
Qualifications:

Journeyman Welder or Apprentice with relevant welding and fabrication experience

Valid CWB certification (or working toward certification)
-
Structural and fabrication experience required
-
Oil & Gas maintenance experience is a strong asset
-
Strong problem-solving ability and mechanical aptitude
-
Able to communicate effectively in a safety-sensitive environment
-
Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol test
-
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract
-
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Responsibilities:
-
Perform welding and fabrication work in the shop
-
Support maintenance and repair of process and structural equipment
-
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures
-
Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
-
Maintain welding equipment and tools
-
Complete required documentation and follow all safety procedures
-
Support the Maintenance Coordinator with fabrication and repair needs
Competencies:
-
Working knowledge of GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, and MCAW processes
-
Experience with fabrication tools (grinders, drill press, shears, etc.)
-
Strong attention to detail and quality of work
-
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
-
Works well in a team environment with minimal supervision
-
Able to manage priorities in a fast-paced shop environment
