Agriculture Retail Operations Lead
About the role
Reporting to the Agribusiness Manager, the Operations Lead is responsible for working with the retail team to ensure successful day-to-day operations. Site duties include full working knowledge and operation of the Dry Fertilizer Blending Plant, Chemical Shed Storage, Racketeer System and all other facilities.
essential functions and position responsibilities:
- Work with all areas of the business location to ensure a professional customer experience in an accurate and timely fashion
- Ensure that health, safety, and security policies are adhered to
- Full administrative duties related to all areas of the retail business
- Receive incoming inventory, ensuring all paperwork is properly tracked and processed
- All out-going product orders follow protocol with correct documentation in place
- Maintenance of location to ensure the yard and equipment meets company standards
- Inventory is tracked and entered into accounting system as per company procedures
- Operation of Dry Fertilizer Blending Facility including loading into bin storage or out loading to customers
- Operation of forklift for shipping/receiving products via totes and pallets
- Operations of safe shipping/receiving liquid fertilizer and herbicides
- Other Duties as Required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Previous work within the Agricultural field is an asset
- Basic shipping/receiving experience including inventory tracking and entering
- Experience in a chemical warehouse and AWSA knowledge
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanically inclined and able to diagnose and repair minor issues
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Familiar with, and able to issue/review documentation with accuracy; load-out tickets, shipping/receiving paperwork, and other administrative duties as needed
- Effective communicator ensuring customer needs are being met and all team members are kept updated
- Familiar with The Rack as a company along with products/services available
- Must live near or in the town of Naicam, Saskatchewan
