About the Calgary Stampede

Position Summary
As a member of the Park & Facilities team, the Sign Shop Technician, works closely with our Sign Technician Lead to provide Sign services and support to multiple departments throughout Stampede Park. These duties include creating, production and layout of signs for; Internal and External consumer shows, special events and meetings, Stampede sponsored events, Stampede Venues and all other cross divisions on a yearly basis.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Work with Internal and External Clients on signage requests.
- Install Digital print or Vinyl Cut graphics to a multiple array of substrates, vehicles, equipment and facilities.
- Shop cleanliness.
- Picking up and putting away stock from suppliers.
- Deliveries around Stampede Park.
- Inventory and storage of signage and banners post Stampede.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work on equipment at various heights
- Proactive and optimistic with the ability to deliver on multiple priorities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-past team environment
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- 18 years old minimum
- Valid driver’s license – class 5
- Steel Toes required
- Some experience with hand tools
- Lifting up to 25lbs
- Organizational skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
