Heavy Equipment Operators (Grader / Dozer / Loader) & Class 1 / Class 3 Drivers
2/2 Rotation | Year-Round Work | Industrial Site Services
Al’s Contracting is hiring experiencedHeavy Equipment Operators and Class 1 / Class 3 Driversto support long-termindustrial site services and civil maintenance operationsin Northern Alberta.
✔2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation ✔Year-round steady work program ✔Company-owned fleet of 70+ units ✔Stable crews – average tenure over 5 years
This isnot construction work. Our crews provide ongoing operational support includingroad maintenance, pad maintenance, water hauling, dust control, and winter road programsat major energy facilities.
We are looking forreliable operators who want long-term stable rotational work with an experienced crew.
What We Offer
-2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation -Year-round steady work program -12-hour shifts
- Camp accommodations while on shift
- Competitive hourly wages based on experience and equipment operated
- Overtime paid after10 hours per day or 44 hours per week
- Statutory holiday pay**(9.6%)**
- Benefits package available after probation
- Ongoing equipment training and cross-training opportunities

The Work
Our Site Services division supports major industrial operations by maintaining critical infrastructure and providing day-to-day operational support.
Typical work includes:
- Gravel road maintenance and grading
- Lease and well pad maintenance
- Snow clearing and winter road programs
- Dust control and road stabilization
- Potable and non-potable water hauling
- Rig support and material hauling
- Hydrovac and excavation support
- Spill response and environmental cleanup
- Equipment and matting transportation
- General civil maintenance and site servicing
Equipment Our Operators Run
Our team operates alarge company-owned fleet of heavy equipment and trucking units, including:
Earthmoving Equipment
- Motor graders (CAT 160M / JD 872G)
- Dozers (CAT D5 / D6)
- Excavators (JD 210 / 290 / 350)
- Wheel loaders (CAT 938 / JD 724)
- Rubber tire hoes (JD 410)
- Compact track loaders / skid steers
Truck Fleet
- Water trucks
- Potable water tankers
- Tandem gravel trucks
- Tractor units
- Winch trucks
- Hydrovac / vac trucks
Compaction & Support Equipment
- Packers and rollers
- Snow plows and pushers
- Lowboy and heavy haul trailers
- Service trucks and mechanical units
Most operators on our crews become competent onmultiple pieces of equipment, and training is provided where required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned heavy equipment or trucking units
- Perform grading, hauling, excavation, snow clearing, and site maintenance tasks
- Complete daily equipment inspections and documentation
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness
- Participate in FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, and other operators
- Follow all company safety policies and Alberta OH&S regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment or commercial trucks in industrial environments -Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence (commercial drivers)
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to work outdoors in remote environments year-round
- Strong safety awareness and situational judgement
Required Certifications
- H2S Alive
- Ground Disturbance Level 2
- Standard First Aid (CPR)
- CSTS 2020
Applicants must also successfully completepre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
