The opportunity:

As an integral member of the specialized Institutional Effectiveness Unit, the Accreditation and Strategic Advisor is responsible for ensuring that robust processes and monitoring systems are in place for current and upcoming accreditation cycles, including leading efforts to pursue new school accreditations. This includes developing, implementing, and managing systematic review processes focused on data collection and analysis, as well as handling sensitive faculty information such as qualifications, work experience, service activities, and committee involvement. The advisor supports the Asper Accreditation Unit by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of AACSB and other accreditation standards, providing confidential and strategic advice to the Dean’s office and leadership team, and conducting comprehensive analyses of Asper’s current status. Recommendations may involve organizational changes, faculty requirements, or curriculum revisions to ensure continued compliance and excellence. The advisor also collaborates closely with the Program Evaluation & Accreditation Committee (PEAC) to support program assessment and continuous improvement initiatives.

In addition, the position oversees the planning, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Assurance of Learning (AOL) and Academic Program Review processes, ensuring alignment with AACSB and other accreditation requirements. Responsibilities include leading the cyclical assessment of accredited programs, administering and grading assessments, analyzing results, and preparing detailed reports and presentations for various stakeholders. The advisor also manages digital assessment tools, addresses inquiries from students and instructors, and coordinates dissemination of findings through dashboards and other channels. Playing a key role in supporting the Faculty’s operational planning, the advisor contributes data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, aligns assessment outcomes with faculty goals, and helps integrate accreditation standards into broader academic and administrative frameworks. This collaboration with leadership ensures that continuous improvement efforts remain aligned with accreditation standards and institutional priorities.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

  • Master level education (preferably in Business or closely related area)
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a higher education institution is required.
  • Minimum of 5years working with accreditation and ranking processes in a business school is required.
  • Experience in designing and leading quality improvement projects for higher education institutions is required.
  • Experience in conducting strategic planning for large academic or industry institutions/organizations is required.
  • Experience in conduction accreditation self-assessments and development of action plans is required.
  • Supervisory experienced is required.
  • Experience with collecting and managing large amounts of data required.
  • An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills are required.
  • Advance written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate key elements of complex issues/processes is required.
  • Must have knowledge of process improvement methods.
  • Ability to manage and control and large sets of confidential data is required.
  • Must be able to provide strategic and confidential advice to senior leadership on strategic planning and accreditation.
  • Ability to conduct literature search to propose best solutions and practices in educational settings is required.
  • Ability to network with national and international institutions /programs to find best practices in education is required.
  • Must be able to make sound independent judgements and utilize problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines is required.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of stakeholders is required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate tact and flexibility when dealing with potentially conflicting views.
  • Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
