About the role
Location: Bolton, ON Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site (5 Days per Week) Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance insulated building envelope solutions, with operations spanning North America, Europe, and beyond. We are assisting them in finding a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Technical Services team in Bolton, Ontario. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong technical background who enjoys leading complex engineering projects, solving challenging technical problems, and mentoring junior engineers.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide engineering expertise on project-specific solutions, ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and support the successful delivery of high-performance building envelope systems.
Key Responsibilities Lead technical engineering support for complex and non-standard project applications. Perform structural, thermal, and weatherability evaluations to meet project specifications and building code requirements. Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and project documentation. Interpret engineering codes, certification standards, and technical requirements. Collaborate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and sales teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Conduct site visits, inspections, and technical evaluations as required. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers while maintaining high quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support engineering best practices.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 4 years of professional engineering experience. P.Eng designation preferred (EIT candidates with strong relevant experience will also be considered). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills. Experience independently managing engineering projects or technical assignments. Working knowledge of relevant engineering codes, standards, and engineering software.
