The successful candidate will have proven experience managing a finance team, having demonstrated their ability to determine when the right time is to delegate and when to get into the trenches. Your main responsibility will be leading a small team while overseeing the financial operations of the company’s property management division, including the following duties:

• Compiling, analyzing, reviewing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial results
• Preparing and presenting financial and management reports, and providing detailed analysis to support decision making
• Identifying and managing opportunities to improve and strengthen processes
• Leading the annual budgeting process and working closely with relevant stakeholders
• Providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to a team of direct reports
• Overseeing the lease administration process and liaising with the legal and compliance teams

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA)
• Formal accounting education
• A minimum of 5 – 7 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2-3 years at the level of Controller
• Previous supervisory experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation:

• $100,000 – $120,000 annual salary range
• Generous bonus potential
