THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Media, the Fundraising Communication s Coordinator will be
responsible for creating, editing, and managing high -quality written content that supports the
organization’s fundraising and communication goals. Th is role will ensure all content is aligned
with the organization’s tone, branding, and strategic messaging, while collaborating closely with fundraising, communications, and program teams to grow long -term support and ensure
meaningful donor and audience engagement.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop, edit, and proofread engaging quality content for blogs, our website, newsletters,
emails, fundraising appeals, donor communications, and marketing materials. - Develop effective funding proposals in collaboration with program and fundraising teams.
- Ensure all written content follow Save the Children’s style, band, and ethical content
guidelines and consistent with brand messaging and tone. - Review and revise content produced by other teams to maintain quality and alignment with
organizations goals. - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to plan, schedule, and deliver timely content that
supports fundraising campaigns and initiatives. - Regularly update website and blog content to keep it current, accurate, and engaging.
- Produce donor reports, impact stories, and case studies.
- Maintain a content calendar to manage deliverables, deadlines, and content workflow efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to align fundraising communications
strategies with broader communications and engagement plans. - Deliver post-campaign analysis with insights, learnings, and recommendations for
improvement.
Qualifications include (but are not limited to):
- Post -secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1–3 y ears of experience in International Development, Non -Governmental
Organization (NGO/INGO), or other not-for-profit sector s is preferred. - Demonstrated ability to create, edit, and refine high -quality written content for a variety
of fundraising materials, including proposals, donor communications, newsletters, and
campaign content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals and tone. - Proven experience in developing and implementing content written strategies that support fundraising initiatives and effectively communicate the organization’s vision, and
impact, while maintaining consistency with the organization’s branding and strategic messaging. - Knowledge of current trends in fundraising and donor engagement, with an understanding
of best practices in donor communications and content creation to build and maintain
strong supporter relationships. - Exceptional attention to detail in both content creation and project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and ensure that all materials meet organizational standards and goals.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required (especially during global humanitarian emergencies involving different time zones).
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills for diverse audiences to
build strong working relationships across cultural and organizational settings, both internally and externally. - Demonstrated project management experience for task execution of assigned objectives supported by proficiency with MS Office tools and relevant technologies. Ability to work under pressure within tight timelines to achieve SCC objectives.
- Displays analytical and problem-solving skills to support initiatives with demonstrated
adaptability to support change management for successful task implementation. - Applies judgment and make sound decisions that are accountable, justifiable, and in adherence to policies and procedures.
- Considers organizational strategy and thinks creatively to support innovative initiatives and collaborations that deliver benefits for the children and families we serve.
- Ability to occasionally travel locally, nationally and internationally (less than 10%) as required.
WHAT WE OFFER
This position salary range between $49,514.91 - $61,250.39 CAD depending on skills and experience. In addition to this, our employees will have the following package of additional benefits:
