About the role

Back-End Developer

A career as a back-end developer – artificial intelligence in the API team of the Cards domain at National Bank means acting as a specialist in cloud software development and generative artificial intelligence integration. This role allows you to have a tangible impact on our digital transformation, thanks to your expertise in Golang or Java, your experience in generative AI, and your rigor in backend development.

Your role

  • Develop and deploy value-added backend functions in an Agile Scrum environment
  • Participate in the integration of generative artificial intelligence into our development cycle
  • Create robust solutions based on RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures (AWS)
  • Contribute to unit testing, quality assurance, code optimization, and code reviews
  • Support applications developed according to the “you build it you run it” model
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, rigor, and continuous improvement

Your team

The Vice-Presidency of Technologies includes more than 25 specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay at the forefront of technologies, and continuously improve processes.

Within the Cards API sector, you will be part of a large team of 25 colleagues and report to the asset manager. Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree or a related diploma in IT or software engineering
  • Have 5 or more years of experience in backend software development
  • Proficiency in Golang or Java, REST/API environments, and microservices
  • Good knowledge of cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and DevOps tools
  • Comfortable with Github Copilot and VS Code; knowledge of AWS Bedrock and OpenAI is an asset
  • Demonstrate autonomy, collaboration, curiosity, rigor, a sense of innovation, and an interest in knowledge sharing and outreach

Required languages

  • Fluency in French
  • Functional knowledge of English (technical reading and collaboration)
