Electrical Designer/Engineer
About the role
Electrical Designer / Engineer Location: Downtown Toronto, ON
Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience and designation)
We are currently working with a building consulting engineering firm located in Toronto that is looking to add an Electrical Designer or Engineer to its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in the building consultancy / consulting engineering space who are looking to grow their technical and project exposure within a collaborative environment.
The Role
- Electrical system design for building projects (power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and auxiliary systems)
- Preparation of drawings, layouts, and construction documents
- Coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams
- Supporting projects from concept design through construction
- Assisting with site reviews, field reports, and contract administration
- Working closely with senior engineers, designers, and project managers
What You Bring
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- Experience working within a consulting engineering / building services environment
- Strong understanding of electrical systems for buildings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit (experience level dependent)
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Important Note: Only candidates with relevant and direct experience within the building consulting engineering space will be considered and contacted.
