About the role

Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Crusher Operator safely operates heavy equipment (excavator, loader) and portable crusher and stacking conveyor conveying system to supply ore through the mill process. The Crusher will work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off work schedule.

The Focus Of This Role Will Include

  • Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines
  • Safely operate various heavy equipment as trained and certified on
  • Perform pre and post operational check of equipment
  • Record safety, operational and production data
  • Transfer materials, supplies and products between working areas
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-year experience in a process plant
  • Common core training
  • Proven safe working practices
  • Previous experience with floatation and gravity concentration an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
