Sales Director Buckman – Remote Location: Remote Language: English Travel: up to 40% Buckman is a privately held, global specialty chemical company with headquarters in Memphis, TN, USA, committed to safeguarding the environment, maintaining safety in the workplace, and promoting sustainable development. Position Summary The Sales Director position is responsible for managing sales activities within the region (Canada). Key responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining the relationship with the account to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that arise. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue, preparing regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance, and informing strategic decisions. Providing exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any concerns is also a crucial part of the job. Developing talent, implementing strategy, and conducting business in a "player/coach" style. The candidate is expected to utilize their existing network to generate new business opportunities within the region. Building a succession plan across the business is essential. Leadership over EM and PT business is expected. Key Outcomes/Responsibilities Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring management of customer relationships in a manner that makes Buckman attractive and prevents attrition. Actions: Having all 8BMS documents updated including Business reviews, service reports (customer requested subjects and frequency), customer entertainment (lunch, dinner, teams building exercises), providing savings projects, responding to service calls as needed, data mining for issues as requested Continuous improvement: Drive TCO mentality and deliver on customer delivered value. Actions: Proposing chemical and/or digital solutions to lower customers costs, identifying process changes and assisting customers with implementation, optimizing applications or process variables/controls. Documented and signed ROBI for all current application and future projects for each account. Account Growth: Reach annual sales targets by increasing volumes or obtaining new applications Actions: Commercializing new applications, increasing volumes of existing applications to improve customer performance, working with sales manager to identify target applications Reporting/Service: Forecasting and budgeting. Monthly target reporting. Actions: Ensuring a cadence of monthly commercial activity reporting. Forecasting with accuracy driven through S&OP leadership and participation. Budget preparation, reporting, and action planning regularly.
